Occasionally, we have received emails from people wondering if the works of Zecharia Sitchin have anything to do with the opinions of those initiated into the Necronomicon Tradition? for the most part, Initiates of the Necronomicon Tradition view the theories of Sitchin as a distraction and inaccurate. While some of the concepts presented by Sitchin can be quite entertaining, the Initiate of the Necronomicon Tradition has actively experienced and works with the energies of deities that followers of Sitchin’s theories are still waiting and expecting to return.
When we take into consideration that the Necronomicon tradition is NOT a system of Western Ceremonial magick, but one that adheres more to the principles of shamanism, imagine some reputed scholar telling a shaman that the energies he’she is working with are not active in the present reality, but are coming to this reality in the distant future. The purpose of initiation into the Necronomicon tradition, and many shamanistic traditions for that matter, is to lift the veil of ignorance and to enable the initiate to come into communion with the energies that are so revered by outsiders as they appear in ancient texts as gods,goddesses, and etc.
1) Initiates of the Necronomicon Tradition find it appalling that many so-called adherents of the LHP actually include Zecharia Sitchin, as part of their reference material, when in fact Sitchin is a Biblical scholar, and his theories were used to support the basic concepts of Biblical theologians. One example of this is seen in his work Divine Encounters, where, after stating that the DinGir were responsible for human creation, the n he asserts that the Sumerian gods were under the jurisdiction of the biblical god Yahweh.
2) His association of Nibiru with a coming planet and not Jupiter, when in fact Akkadian scribes, in their translations from Sumerian to Akkadian, associate Nibiru with Jupiter, However, it is good to see others in the scholastic field also make these have found Sitchin’s work fraudulent.

I think people are too hard on Sitchin. Yes, he made some mistakes, but overall his thesis that the Annunaki possessed and utilized advanced technology is not completely crazy. It may sound like science fiction, but who are we to say its any more crazy than all this black magic?
I have nothing against Sitchin. I do give credit for putting the Sumerian mythology further in ther public. Nothing more, nothing less 🙂
At least someone crafted a story from otherwise unexplained history, be it God oriented or not
This history wasn’t unexplained, but the other explanations didn’t appeal to an audience that wanted a sensational story rather than facts!
