Nightcaller’s Library – Incantation of Protection (Concerning the Habitation of the Priest)

Welcome to another part of Nightcaller’s Library!

This will be the third incantation, from my personal library, that I will share with the reader. It is an interesting one, and was written with a specific purpose in mind – protecting the priest in his sacred dwelling. The habitations we live in should be considered as sacred for they house our temple-chambers. Therefore I have constructed a protective incantation that is designed to keep us safe from any evil (by the power of Master Enki) when we are within the walls of our houses and habitations. It should be recited before we start any of our Workings, that no evil may assail us while we perform our rituals.

Here follows the Incantation of Protection:

  • GA-E MULU DINGIR-EN-KI-GA ME-EN
  • TU-MU TU DINGIR-EN-KI-GE
  • UTUG-ŠIG-GA ID-ZI-DA-MU MU-UN-DA-AN-GIN-NA
  • ALAD-ŠIG-GA ID-GUB-BU-MU MU-UN-DA-AN-GIN-NA
  • UTUG-XUL A-LA-XUL
  • GIDIM-XUL MULLA-XUL
  • DINGIR-XUL MAŠKIM-XUL
  • DINGIR-RAB-KAN-ME DINGIR-RAB-KAN-ME-A DINGIR-RAB-KAN-ME-KIL
  •  MULU-LIL-LA KI-EL-LIL-LA KI-EL-GID-DA-KAR-RA
  • NAM-TAR-XUL-IK AZAG-GAR-GIG GAR-GIG
  •  GAR-ŠA-A TUR-RA NAM-BAD GAR-XUL-GIM-MA
  • IGI-MU-TA
  • E-MU NAM-BA-TU-TU-NE
  • E-TA BA-RA-E
  • GA-E MULU-TU-TU DINGIR-EN-KI-GA ME-EN
  • KI-GUB-BU-NE BA-RA-AN-DA-GUB-BU-NE-EN
  • KI-TUŠ-A-MU BA-RA-AN-DA-TUŠ-U-NE-EN
  • KI-AL-GIN-A BA-RA-AL-GIN-A
  • KI-TU-TU-DA-MU-KU BA-RA-AN-TU-TU-NE
  • SU-MU NAM-BA-TE-MAL-E-NE
  • DINGIR-EN-KI LUGAL ZU-AB-GE GA-E NU-UN-GA-XE-A
  • DINGIR-EN-KI LUGAL ZU-AB-GE
  • KA-TA DUG-GA-MU XE-EN-SILIM-MA-AB
  • KI-GIR GIN-NA-MU-GA AN-SI-IL

Of course I would not dare to leave out the English translation! So it follows here:

  • The man of Enki am I.
  • My spell is the spell of Enki.
  • A kindly Guardian marcheth on my right,
  • and a kindly Spirit marcheth on my left.
  • Whether thou art an evil Spirit, or an evil Demon,
  • or an evil Ghost, or an evil Devil,
  • or an evil God, or an evil Fiend,
  • or Hag-Demon, or Ghoul, or Robber-Sprite,
  • or Phantom of Night, or Wraith of Night, or Handmaiden of the Phantom,
  • or evil Pestilence, or noisome Fever, or Pain,
  • or Sorcery, or Sickness, or Death, or any Evil…
  • Be thou removed before me!
  • Into my house may they not enter!
  • Out of the house go forth!
  • For I am the sorcerer-priest of Enki!
  • Where I stand, there stand thou not!
  • Where I sit, there sit thou not!
  • Where I walk, there walk thou not!
  • Where I enter, there enter thou not!
  • Unto my body may they not come nigh!
  • May Enki, King of the Deep, safeguard me!
  • O Enki, King of the Deep!
  • Make fortunate the utterances of my mouth!
  • Let me be blessed wherever I tread!

May Master Enki protect thee, and thy Workings, Brothers!

My regards,

Nightcaller.

  1. Thank you Brother! I appreciate it. 🙂 Many blessings to you too!

I am currently working on my first book, and it will feature all incantations and exorcisms I’ve placed on this blog, and many more! (Uniquely constructed by yours truly!)

It will be a work full of incantations and exorcisms designed for use in ritual, and will be completely based on ancient Babylonian and Assyrian sources.

    My regards, Nightcaller.
