The Dark Knight of Nyarlathotep Working Through Pain

(click link above for video)

Greetings! I would like to welcome everyone to the Simon Necronomicon Practitioner’s Journal, a blog page dedicated to Initiates of the Necronomicon Tradition. Please take your time to enjoy some of our previous articles.

I would like to thank everyone for their participation and contributions to the Necronomicon Tradition, whether it be in the form of composing articles, assisting newcomers to the Tradition, or just in the testimony of how we live our day-to-day lives, it is truly a blessing. I am sure that your hard work has paid off.

In the way of Necronomicon Studies, it has been a blessed year. We have a new message-board, which can easily be accessed at www.necronomicontradition.info We urge you to take part in posting and sharing some of your questions, insights, and experiences there. Thank you!

Being a participant of the Necronomicon Tradition over the past few years, I have observed some things that seem to be a growing trend, but while it is good to some extent, when taken out of context, it is indeed harmful. It seems that the responsibilities pertaining to Initiation have been overlook and more emphasis is being put on “talking about the amazing experiences one has, or what is read in books.” This is not the purpose or intent of our initiation into the Necronomicon Tradition. It is a warrior’s path, which means that we are constantly at work. this is what gods do. This is what we are training to become and in some way this is what we are, for we are responsible for our own survival.  This theme seems to be ignored as of late so I will explain the dynamics in the words of the Mad Arab and the tradition that we follow.

Working through Initiation is no easy task!

Initiation Into The Necronomicon Tradition

While other occult schools may not be aware of this, but Initiates of the Necronomicon Tradition actually perform the rites of the gate-walking initiation with the prescribed tools. Since some elements of what is mentioned in the tome are hard to find, we do at times substitute a metal for its corresponding incense and etc. There are seven gates to pass, usually within a period of seven months, sometimes faster or slower depending if certain planets are in retrograde or what have you. We have written quite a few articles about this in the past, but in a nutshell, the planets tell us the condition or the emotional state of the seven stars of the Big Dipper, for those are the celestial bodies that we are in communion with, which is why Simon writes so much about them in Gates of the Necronomicon.  Within each gate are seven to eight powers, so by the time we have reached the gate of DinGir Marduk we are in near possession of approximately fifty powers. Each gate has its own tree. In other word, for a gate to exist, it must hold the same seven powers that we are walking with in it. So in the gate of DinGir Nanna, exist a Nanna Gate, a Nebo Gate, and etc. Western astrology works in a similar way, as an astrological “week” is divided up into seven years of your life. So by the time you are forty-nine years of age you would have reached Saturday, when the aging process begins. I hope this is clear to you.

Another thing that takes place during self-initiation into the Necronomicon tradition has a lot to do with our working by the Moon. The moon takes about 28 to 30 days to pass through all 12 signs of the zodiac. The reason why we work by the moon, regardless of what gate we are walking is to experience the aspects of a said planet in all twelve signs of the zodiac. For example, if we are walking DinGir Marduk, which corresponds to Jupiter, the Moon will reform to reflect the light of the planet Jupiter as it moves through all twelve signs of the zodiac. This is true with all the other gates. So the initiation process that we experience in roughly seven months, would take someone anywhere from seven to forty-nine years to experience if working with a solar path. Understand? Due to this swift progression and the dawning of astral awareness and powers, some have ignorantly forgotten the “WORK ITSELF.”

Where Problems Arise

The Initiate has successfully completed the walking of the Seven Gates and has moved on to the Urilia Rite workings, the Igig and etc. They are enjoying great success in sharing their experiences with others and are mentoring new people in the tradition. They are relaxed and happy to possess such a wonderful relationship with the DinGir. They have also failed in understanding the intent of the work. This is exactly how it usually happens. The Mad Arab warned about this in Of the Zonei and Their Atributes:

“He becomes able to control the affairs of his life more perfectly than before, and many have been content to merely pass the first three Gates and then sit down and go no further than that, enjoying the benefits that they have found on the preliminary spheres. But this is Evil, for they are not equipped to deal with the attack from Without that must surely come, and their people will cry unto them for safety, and it will not come forth.”

Some may wonder how the Mad Arab’s words could apply to them if they have passed all the seven gates? Well, first we have to understand that the preliminary gates are the gates before Shammash, which are the gate of DinGir Nanna, Nebo, and Ishtar, but these three gates are but symbol of the initiation process given in the Necronomicon. Take note of the Mad Arab’s words, and you will see what I mean:

“Know, then, that I have trod all the Zones of the Gods (Nanna Gate), and also the places of the Azonei (Nebo Gate), and have descended unto the foul places of Death and Eternal Thirst, which may be reached through the Gate of GANZIR (Ishtar Gate), which was built in UR, in the days before Babylon was.”

If we were to take note of certain astrological principles this would become easier for us to understand. If every seven years of a person’s life is equal to an astrological day, then the days of Nanna, Nebo, and Ishtar would amount to 21 years. We have reached maturity, but still may not be able to take on what is needed to survive. In my experience I have seen v=only few people get through the Nanna Gate though they have walked the seven gates and beyond.

Understanding the Gates

It is very important for the Initiate to understand the difference between ceremonial Gates and Gates in Life. Ceremonial gates refer to our magical and mystical workings that we have undertaken to resurrect our use of the subconscious and chthonic mind. The subconscious and chthonic mind relates to the Nanna gate in life. So as long as we are doing the good work of walking Gates, exorcisms, talking to others on Facebook and the telephone about our experiences, we are still investing most of our time in the Nanna Gate of life though we can be very advanced in our ritual work. We are like newborn babies who are trying to gain control over the new senses that we possess since we have been born again.

In order for us to advance beyond the Nanna condition, we must enter the gate of DinGir Nebo, DinGir Nebo is associated with the number 12, which would correspond to our work with the Igigi, or the twelve signs of the zodiac. It is a Mercurial sign. In the ceremonial gate of Nebo we learn the movements of Mercury and see how money and other things play a role in our life. In the Nebo Gate in life, we are like children who have entered school, to help us prepare for the world. The Nebo Gate of life involves memorizing the entire text of the Mad Arab. How could a person be initiated into a system and not possess memorial access to the words of instruction? We are educating ourselves in many things that are useful to our survival. We must remember that this is a continual process since there are gates within gates, we learn a successful way to obtain and have a rich life in all seven aspects of life.

Nanna = Meditation, Visualization, Ceremonial magic and Contemplation

Nebo = Research and study of a specific subject. Focus on obtaining the funds to create what is desired. Draw up a business plan. Analyze the astrological season that you wish to pursue a project and see how it would affect your goals. Networking.

Ishtar = Acquiring the “attire” that is useful to reach a desired goal, whether it is getting new clothes for a job interview, or working on your appearance to attract someone of the opposite sex. If it is business related, start forming a nice promotional package. Cleanliness is important in all things. One should focus on living where they desire. One should focus on selecting a neighborhood where they desire to have business a business in.  Bodily exercise and attention to health is an eternal process that requires daily maintenance, as well as, choosing a diet that is beneficial instead of just eating what we are presented with. This includes using discretion with what we take in mentally and emotionally, always with our goals in mind. Use art and artistic endeavors, social climates in accord with your personal agenda

Shammash = Take into consideration how to avoid the pitfalls of life. Set up a plan for charity, whether it’s giving money to a beggar or setting up an organization for such a need. Giving advice to others, which means becoming well-versed in the subject you are giving advice in. Studying the laws of the land and the law of any desired goal that you wish to obtain. Reflecting on divine law, observing what laws you were taught when you attempted certain magical workings. Obtaining licenses and permits to undergo a specific working. Through the process of visualization cast you goals on the world. Taking responsibility for any setbacks. Healing methods include focusing on daily honesty.

Nergal = Reorganizing strategies to overcome any obstacles. Psychic and physical martial arts, acts of rigorous exercise. Stay focused on potential goal. Learning focus by concentrating on daily activities, as well as, in meditation. Transforming sexual energy to strengthen will.  Destroying any habits that can bring damage to our personal goals and physical health, knowing that they are one in the same. Avoiding negative thinking and association.

Marduk = Maintaining a virtuous perspective in achieving our goals. Being open to the criticism of others.  Obtaining friendships with people from all walks of life and avoided racially geared material. Building confidence in achieving our goals. Maintaining our independence while being enjoying our relationships and commitments with others. Following through on our intended plans with our actions.

Ganzir = The release of all the unwanted debris that we acquired on our journey. Review of focal points. Allowing a useful trait that was once “dead” in us to resurface.

Adar = The successful achievement of one goal and the navigation of its continued existence. Enjoying the advice from our Elders and older ones with more experience in a said field, whether this advice is read or related to you from an Elder personally.

These seven principles exist in every gate of life and desired goal. You can use these steps to obtain your most virtuous endeavors. The “Elder Gods are in things that live.” The Ishtar Gate in the ceremonial aspect has a lot to do with love and war, but it should be noted that Ishtar was noted more as a warrior, while using her looks and charm as a tool in defeating and entire army. It is relative to the realm of Tiamat, since Tiamat is the primordial aspect of Ishtar. It is also relative to the goddess because it is an emotional realm and deals with mastery of emotions in life, something few humans have accomplished. While it is a very “miraculous” gate in ceremony, we should focus on our relationships with family, friends, spouse, children and etc.

This reminds us of another pitfall. One of the things that distracts us from the work is excessive talking. “Armchair” magicians were at one time magical and active in life, but began spending all their time chatting about their workings instead of continuing their work in the present moment.  The advice given to us by the Mad Arab is often misunderstood:

“Remember, always, in every empty moment, to call upon the Gods not to forget thee, for they are forgetful and very far away.”

It is important for us to understand what an “empty moment” is. An empty moment occurs when our mind is fixated on daydreaming, or worrying, emotionally upset, or venting about a particular care. It is during these time periods that we should only give way to the work. So when we give way to daydreaming, we should use that time to copy the book over, or engage in the act of telepathic communication with the gods. It is a time that we remember ourselves. We focus on the messages that the five senses are absorbing, without casting judgment on what our five senses are picking up at the time. When we give way to worry, or imagination we should use that time to memorize the text. If we do not have the text memorized, we can perform communion with the DinGir through the process of visualization. These things are important as you will learn in the next section of our discussion.

Misuse of the Necronomicon Mysteries Due to a Lack of Not Mastering the Gates of Life.

One thing that I enjoy about the Necronomicon Tradition is having a direct relationship with primordial forces, whether they be spirits of the dead, planetary energies, or what have you, Gate-Walking allows an individual to establish a line of communication with the world around them, a world that relates to our innermost self and by studying this world we come to realize we are studying ourselves void of ego. Just by the fact that we describe those around us based on their zodiac sign shows us that people harness power from the stars too, or should I say they are governed by it. After resurrecting the dead part of ourselves also known as the Watcher/Tiamat, we are able to observe these celestial and elemental influences in dreams and in our waking experiences in part. It is a beautiful path that is prejudice to none, but allows the practitioner to work though his/her own pain, their own karma.

Unfortunately, the gifts that we receive through Walking can be overwhelming for some and the idea of their misuse have been attempted by others, but since these mysteries are guarded by the Jinn, the margin of what can and cannot be done must run in accord with the laws of the unseen world. Those who haven’t come to this understanding will try to use the Necronomicon Mysteries for obtaining things in life without applying the principles of that particular gate in life. For example, one thing I often encounter are questions about how a person can use this system to acquire a mate? The best answer to this question is for the Initiate to speak to DinGir Ishtar and then sped an immense amount of time in the gym, switching up their diet, putting work into their appearance and possibly gathering at social events where singles may be numerous. On the other side of the coin, Ishtar is relative to family, friends, and lovers. So although it may not seem that way, our relationship issues may have to do with a relationship with our family. In other words, if we have some harbored resentments towards relatives, allowing that emotion to reside in us, will also allow it to emanate from our mental disposition when we are in company of the person we are trying to attract, pushing them away from us. This same principle can be applied to any desired goal and its gate aspect.  The beauty of a system is how we use the tools given to us in life. Life is an initiation.

Life Is An Initiation

The Life of A Necronomicon Adept

One of the pitfalls that have entrapped some on this path is the adoration of customs rather than the relationship that we possess with the DinGir. This usually manifests itself in conversations about what rites to use now since one is “this or that,” but what are we really if we cannot wake up in a dream at will? We are nothing more than an idea that we have in our heads since we saw some “fireworks” after magical ceremony. Get over it! Notice what action the Mad Arab took in life in order to gain some perspective on what he had learned:

“In my solitary ceremonies in the hills, worshipping with fire and sword, with water and dagger, and with the assistance of a strange grass that grows wild in certain parts of MASSHU, and with which I had unwittingly built my fire before the rock, that grass that gives the mind great power to travel tremendous distances into the heavens, as also into the hells, I received the formulae for the amulets and talismans which follow, which provide the Priest with safe passage among the spheres wherein he may travel in search of the Wisdom.”

For I have enjoyed that knowledge inwhich you have shared…In the last reply to you I told you of some experiences with Inanna/Ishtar and our relationship…I have connected to all….It is a type of binding….I am a god…I am connected to all the universe has to offer…I once call and summons for someone from the bloodline of Orion and surely enough she came… She had to pry herself from me because there was a force that kept pulling her back to me ….When I asked for a messenger it was independence day night; she came 1-3 days later…That was about 2-3 yrs. ago…Two of my tools that I use in rituals, prayer and summoning are a type of sheperd’s crook and a type of flail, but they are different from the Egyptians…I never thought I would have such things as these…A day or 2 ago I called Inanna/Ishtar and I felt a sansation to look up into the sky and what did I see…a cloud shaped like a woman lying on her side with huge hips…I saw her head, her right arm bent at the elbow under her head, breast etc… Blessed Be!

  3. King Solomon IH IHVH Melech Melchizedek says:

I have a question; what does it mean to hold the sheperd’s crook open end downward rather than upward…The only time I have seen it held downward is by Osirius…What does this meann…
