The Oracle of Enheduanna

Greetings! I would like to welcome everyone to Papers in the Attic, your resource on matters concerning the Asaru culture. If this is your first time here, please review some of our previous articles.

Since we are now pressing on and perfecting the work of our Tradition, I would like to address another question. Now that we are using the Oracle of Enheduanna as an initiatory tool, many have wondered about the value of the Simon Necronomicon.

First, it is most important to mention that the Simon Necronomicon is still a sacred book in the Asaru culture. I am not the only one who has experienced many amazing things while working with the text. It has helped many in the Asaru culture reach a stage of knowing and insight from both otherworldly and earthly perspectives. Some may wonder what exactly was the intent on publishing the Simon’s intent in publishing the tome? A quick look at the Introduction of the world’s most controversial grimoire answers that question for us:

“Yet, he must remember that the occult powers that accompany magickal attainment are ornamental only, indications of obstacles overcome on the Path to Perfection, and are not to be sought after in themselves, for therein lies the truth Death.”

There is nothing comfortable on the road to enlightenment. A lot of people may not want to put up the fight it takes to endure on the road, but when complete, the blessings become many. If you are in the process of going through initiation by use of the Simon Necronomicon Gate-Walking rituals, continue. You are taking the same steps that many in this tradition have walked. To say otherwise would be hypocritical.

A lot of people are just looking for a good time. “Hey, this feels good.” “All I have to do is do a ritual and good luck just comes my way!” People who think like this are going nowhere in their life or the work. The workings in the Simon Necronomicon are primal, very powerful, but they also procure virtue. Notice what Is mentioned by the Mad Arab:

“The passing of the Gates gives the priest both power and wisdom to use it. He becomes able to control the affairs of his life more perfectly than before, and many have been content to merely pass the first three Gates and then sit down and go no further than that, enjoying the benefits that they have found on the preliminary spheres.”

Here we see that the intent of this tome still has much to do with spiritual transformation. However, some have fallen into disarray, due to lack of understanding, or misinterpreting sections of the tome itself. Make no mistake about it though, the Simon Necronomicon is a book that is guarded by the Jinn.

The Oracle of Enheduanna is clearer and brighter in its approach. It is an effective tool like the Simon Necronomicon, but without the trappings. Once the Initiate finishes the seven initiatory gates in the Simon Necronomicon, I would suggest that they start the Oracle of Enheduanna.

Stay Blessed

Thank you Dakkel for being part of The Family

  2. I have wandered on the left hand path, first as an atheist a la La Vey but I could not fool my slef. It requires the same amount, if not more, faith to believe in the existence of what is termed the super natural, as it takes to belive in the theories of Science. All my works lead me to the necronomicon. And after the intense experience of openin the first Gate I felt like I have found what was missing in my development.
I was a pentecostal once, the closest thing you could get to shamanistic and mystical practice in the Christian world. With spirit possesion, Holy spirit I mean but nothing like the wondrful experience of opening the Gate of Dingir Nanna. I sould be thanking you and my mentor Dummu Abzu.
