The Simon Necronomicon’s Placement Within the Art of Ninzuwu


I thought it would be good to point out some shared information I found in works written from Simon that point to some of the mythologies often cited in Ninzuwu, since the Necronomicon by Simon is one of the sacred texts in our culture. Below is a comparative list of examples of cross-referenced material between the works of Simon and Warlock Asylum.

Example #1: Shamuzi

Gates of the Necronomicon by Simon, page `51 states:

“Apart from the obvious sexual symbolism of a Gate as the Vagina, there is another level of Gate mythology that is related to this discussion. To psychologists and researchers in the humanities, this is known as the Vagina Dentata, or the Vagina with Teeth. This bizarre ikon of a devouring vagina with sharp incisors crops up in dreams, in art, and in some folk tales.”

The folk tales that Simon is here referring to in his analysis of the Vagina with Teeth symbolism is none other than the Ainu Shinto tale called The Island of Women. This folk tale is found in The Yi Jing Apocrypha of Genghis Khan as the Land of the Shamuzi Women, where we read:

“When spring came, the Ainu chieftain’s wife spoke thus to him: “We women of this country are different from your land. When the grass begins to sprout, teeth sprout in our vaginas. Our husbands cannot stay with us. The east wind is our husband. When the east wind blows, we all turn our buttocks towards it and conceive children. Sometimes we bear male children. But these male children are killed and done away with when they become fit to lie with women. For that reason, this is a land for the Shamuzi only. It is called Shamuzi-land. So when you were brought by some bad god, you came to this land of mine, there were teeth in my vagina because it was summer, for which reason I did not marry you. But I married you when the teeth fell out. Now, as the teeth are again sprouting in my vagina because spring has come, it is now impossible for us to sleep together. I will send you home tomorrow. So do tell your sons to come here today in order to be ready.”

Example #2: ARZIR

In the Art of Ninzuwu the divine world is called Nyarzir. This is a Sumerian compound made of three parts, ny (ni) meaning awesome, aura. The term Arzir is made up of two parts, Ar meaning Plough or Ara, a reference to the Big Dipper and Zir meaning light or starry. This would indicate someone who has developed this body by integration with the energies of the Big Dipper, which takes place in a process called the Soul of Fire. The Ivory Tablets of the Crow, states:

“This formulae was given to me when I first made my oath to The Fountain of All that Dwells Beyond This World. It is very simple, but must be said one day after another for twenty-one days. It is called the ooh-zz-nn-eehzz-ooh-zz-nn, eek-hss-eehzz-eh-ph, the Soul of Fire, known to the ancient by the names of many goddesses, and it takes up residence in the flesh.”

This same concept exists in the Necronomicon by Simon. In the Testimony of the Mad Arab, we read:

“I have traveled among the stars, and trembled before the Gods. I have, at last, found the formulae by which I passed the Gate ARZIR, and passed into the forbidden realms of the foul IGIGI.”

The Gate of Arzir, spoken about by the mad Arab is formulated through intercourse with the stars of the Big Dipper. In Gates of the Necronomicon by Simon, we read:

“The entire process of passing through the gates as outlined in the Necronomicon has the effect of slowly building up the astral body over the entire seven month period,”

This helps us to appreciate that the gate-walking rituals aid in building up our astral body and other processes.

Example #3: Gematria

Amazingly, we find that many of the words in Ninzuwu literature are relative to the deities in the Simon Necronomicon. Below are some examples, listed in both English and Simple Gematria:

Nanna and Zhee = 264, 44

Pazuzu and Nyarzir = 666, 111

Ayaqox and Lilitu = 498,83

Ishtar and Johuta = 450, 75

Ninzuwu is one of the many branches of the one tree we call the Necronomicon Tradition. We can now say that our tradition has its own language calendar, healing system and etc. In both the Ivory Tablets of the Crow and the Simon Necronomicon, we read:

For what is new
Came from that which is old
And what is old
Shall replace that which is new
And once again the Ancient Ones
Shall rule upon the face of the Earth!
And this is too the Covenant!
