Dark Manhattan (1937) is one of my favorite films! It is a movie that set the mold for films appearing decades later like New Jack City, which has a similar theme. The film also reveals the talents of actor Ralph Cooper, an African-American actor and producer who influenced many Hollywood greats, like Humphrey Bogart and others.

Story Line: A low-level gangster determines to let nothing stand in the way of his gaining control of the numbers rackets in Harlem.
