Warlock Asylum: I would like to thank you for taking the time to answer a few questions and sharing some of your insights about your profession with our audience today. However, for some of our listeners who may not be aware of your work, please introduce yourself. Who is Daniel Doyle Pleasantville?
Daniel Doyle Pleasantville: Thank you very much for giving me a platform where I can reach and inspire others with some practical principles of success. I am a photographer from Pleasantville, Ohio. I have an extensive background in portrait, event, wedding and landscape photography, and own a professional photography studio.
Warlock Asylum: What attracted you to photography?
Daniel Doyle Pleasantville: I was drawn to the beauty and geography of Pleasantville, Ohio, and wanted to capture some of its many attraction on camera. This desire later transcended into wanting to visit and photograph other places in the world, people, and the motions of life. I am often amazed at many of the stories that can be told through pictures.
Warlock Asylum: How were you able to build a career in photography?
Daniel Doyle Pleasantville: Well, I learned the value of possessing a good work ethic from a young age. During my youth, I would generate money by mowing people’s lawns. I saved my money and was able to purchase a camera and started working on gaining skills as a photographer. I majored in Photography at Ohio State University. After attending college, I spent some time in Europe and eventually New York.
Daniel Doyle Pleasantville: It was simply amazing! Being an entrepreneur has taught me many things. Every day I am learning something new since opening Daniel Doyle Pleasantville Photo Studio; not only as a photographer but also as a businessman. Some of my biggest breaks came after opening the studio in Queens, New York.
Warlock Asylum: What are some of the business principles you’ve learned since establishing Daniel Doyle Pleasantville Photo Studio?
Daniel Doyle Pleasantville: Commitment and hard work are the two essential ingredients in making a business grow. There were certain times that I had to pick up part-time work just to stay afloat. Yet, I find that the commitment it takes to maintain a business is also the cultivating factors that it takes to grow.
Warlock Asylum: What is it about your work as a photographer in particular that continues to draw the expansion and support of your customer base?
Daniel Doyle Pleasantville: I find that my clients are deeply intrigued by the narratives I present in the photos they receive. People’s interest in photography is all about recording a life experience through visual technology. For me, it is important to nurture the human element through the process.
Warlock Asylum: What advice would you give to someone that would like to take photography as a career path?
Daniel Doyle Pleasantville: Pursue your dreams without any hesitation.
