Multi-instrumentalist, singer, and songwriter Joe Pierce returns as The Pierce Project with a stunning new single entitled Cry Me A River. I got to learn about The Pierce Project and the musical veteran’s crisp sound in my review of his previous release Time Is Absurd. For the most part, The Pierce Project has cultivated an amazing retro sound that is heavily influenced by 60’s-pop, folk-rock, and classic rock music genres. The Pierce Project continues this legacy with Cry Me A River to the delight of listeners.

Cry Me A River is a song from The Pierce Project’s album The Last Days of Summer. The track is a nice mid-tempo gem with irresistible acoustic appeal. Cry Me A River is filled with melodic nostalgia that is made unique by acoustic guitar, bass, organ, and the structure of its vibrant groove. Joe Pierce puts together a fitting performance in the song that is equally entertaining. Enjoy!
