Warlock Asylum’s Interview With the Infamous En Eabatu

Greetings!

From time to time we  have featured various Initiates of the Necronomicon Tradition. Today I had the pleasure of interviewing a Gate-Walker who came into the Qliphotic Mysteries around the same time I did. I am speaking about the infamous En Eabatu. En Eabatu is one of the old school Gate-Walkers, in lack of a better word. I really appreciate the fact that he took a little time out of his busy schedule to answer a few questions:

Warlock Asylum: For our readers who are unaware of who you are. can you please tell us about yourself and your role in the Necronomicon Tradition?

En Eabatu: I am known by a few names, but for the sake of staying in tune with the spirit of the interview I am En Eabatu….Now as far as my role in the “Necronomicon” Tradition, that’s more difficult and complex to answer. By that, I mean my role is perpetually fluid or in flux. I guess, in a nutshell, all who come in contact with me are (depending on how one views this subject matter spiritually and intellectually) are either stained or subtly fed the spirit of that long forgotten chapter in human history and our connection with the stars. I’m convinced were destined to return to the stars as it’s in our souls the liquid fires of the cosmos, and to stay here on Earth is to suffer the eventual fate of this planet. I’m not as worried about the environment as many pagans or occultists are as I’m very confident the earth more than able to recover. Were a speck on this planets historical records. Were “children of the stars” so to say, and the deities in the Necronomicon (Simon version) and of Babylon, Assyria, Akkad, Chaldea and Sumer are something more than some imaginary friends we ask for favors to our day-to-day selfish and meager wants. Were infused with something deeper and more divine/eternal than that.

Warlock Asylum: How did you come across the Simon Necronomicon and what made you give it a try?

En Eabatu: Well, I picked it up via the 5 finger discount as a teen. Seems I’m not alone in my first acquiring of the Necronomicon in this manner, hahaha. Now as to the WHY, well it was a forbidden book (as was the Satanic Bible) so I had to get it as read through it. The more I read it, the more I was enthralled with its contents and bored by the Satanic stuff I had been going through. I guess it was the cosmic and extremely ancient nature of the content. It was of a time before humanity, before the “gods”, before “God”, before everything we have come to know and take for granted. Now as for why I wanted to try it, well I guess I was crazy because everyone said it was craziness to fuck with it. Kinda like its madness to try to swim if you can’t move your arms or legs. This book’s contents will FORCE you to move them arms and legs quickly, or else you are lost in its halls of eternal delusions. Many seem to have been consumed in this manner, from all the rumors.

Warlock Asylum: How has your life changed since Gate-Walking?

En Eabatu: Physically, I guess I’m more sure of my own words and decisions. Of course this is a fluid process and is in continual growth and refinement. I see nothing to tell me that this will change at any time for the rest of my life. Ones progression is entirely of your own doing, and to rely upon the blessings of others BEFORE momentum to ones desired, or willed goals are created is the stuff monotheism has fed upon for some time now…Spiritually, I can see the WHY involved in people’s religious beliefs. Its simple, theyre spiritually young, so to say. For the path of the occultist is a path into a roaring maelstrom. The source of this maelstrom is both micro and macro cosmic, for this candle is an inferno on both ends…..creator and creation being these ends. Why inferno? For it’s the fire of heaven the occultist wields, but how its presented is more akin to water. The passion involved is the fire, the fluidity is the water….Anna and Kia are the vertical boundaries, the fires and waters are the horizontal boundaries. From below the magician draws the divine waters, from the domain of Enki, from above the magician draws the fires of the heavens from the flaming chariot of Gibil. Both can cause destruction to the magician or their target, or can create something great and useful for mankind as well. We, the “bottles” or “cauldrons” these elements are drawn into decide the product of our “experiments”.

Warlock Asylum: What is the most important thing you have learned since becoming a Gate-Walker?

En Eabatu: Nothing is free, and the universe is on a constant “zero sum” program. You take, you’re giving, whether you know it or not.

Warlock Asylum: What advice would you give to newcomers who are trying to learn the system?

En Eabatu: Refer to the answer for question 4. Also, you wont learn a damned thing if you don’t try, try and try some more. Asking questions is fine and dandy, but theorizing only gets you to the point of the blind mans conception of color or a deaf mans conception of sound. Another thing, reach for the center of infinity, but remember to keep your feet where you reside for it is oh so easy to become consumed by that very alluring infinity.

Warlock Asylum: Any closing thoughts?

En Eabatu: This system seems to choose who is compatible with it. With that said, pay close attention to WHY you want to work with this system in particular…Thanks Azu for the chance to get a few thoughts out there. I hope this is useful to at least one person out there.

Warlock Asylum: Thank you Brother Eabatu. I hope that our readers here benefited from your words as much as I did. You can also checkout some of En Eabatu’s essays by going to his MySpace group: http://groups.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=groups.groupprofile&groupID=104315745

I must say that this concludes another chapter in Necronomicon history. Stay Blessed
