Aneesa Strings, originally from Oakland, California, is an exceptional bassist, composer and musician whose work has inspired millions of individuals. Aneesa, a virtuoso within the bassist tradition of the music world, embarked on her journey with an unrelenting passion for producing soul-stirring melodies and captivating rhythms that would later resonate with millions.
She embarked on her professional career as a jazz musician at the age of 13, with the recording of her debut album. In 2014, Aneesa obtained her Bachelors of Music in Jazz Studies from the University of Southern California. While pursuing her studies, she successfully launched her debut solo album, “A Shift In Paradigm,” which featured her hit single “Simpin”. This remarkable album was a collaborative effort with SFJAZZ and was expertly produced by the talented Patrice Rushen.
Aneesa’s artistic ability extends beyond her outstanding talent as a bassist, as her spirit shines through every aspect of her work. Her compositions are elaborate mosaics pieced together from introspective moments and personal encounters. Each song tells a story – stories of love lost and found, triumph over adversity, and everything in between.
