Representing St. Vincent and the Grenadines to the fullest, Azriel Wallace has become a pillar in the New York City dance scene. As a Bacchanalist dance group member, fitness trainer, and soca instructor, Azriel Wallace is rapidly becoming a household name in the Brooklynite artistic community. She has participated in numerous music videos, stage productions, and workshops. Azriel’s hard-earned work ethic and an innate love for the art of dance and dance culture has served as a catalyst for this latest segment in dance revival. It is not uncommon to see Azriel in one of the five boroughs instructing children and senior citizens on how to move their bodies.

In her mission to keep soca music and its surrounding dance forms alive, Azriel released Soakey, which turned out to be an underground hit in the dance community and amongst local partygoers. It is with great honor that I am happy to announce Azriel Wallace as the recipient of the Warlock Asylum International News 2020 Dance Artist of the Year! We wish you all the best in your earthly and artistic endeavors!
