Phantom Phunk’s inventive flare continues with the release of their new single Tongue Tied. The Tampa-based outfit has an eclectic sound that is a merge of psychedelia, rock, and soul. Many of our regular subscribers may remember our recent review of the group’s song Memory’s A Ghost published in the early half of 2019. Tongue Tied is a continuum of Phantom Phunk’s emerging sound and their distinct musical value which emphasizes their love for the art. Tongue Tied opens up with hypnotic synth measures and witty use of bass distortion. Phantom Phunk’s sinister merge of electronica and organic instrumentation keeps us in Tongue Tied’s charm of melody.
