Vaimoana Litia Makakaufaki Niumeitolu is a true Renaissance woman. She is widely known for her work as an activist, actor, and poet. Born in Tonga and raised in the United States, Vaimoana’s worldview fuels her exceptionally passionate approach to her work as an artist that she often utilizes as a catalyst to draw attention to specific social issues affecting the human family.
As a painter and muralist, Vaimoana is able to tell stories through imagery and capture the moods and vibes of our present world. Her work as an educator has successfully inculcated principles of self-development in others. She is the founder of Mahina Movement, an all woman music and poetry trio who have performed on over 500 stages. Under her popular pseudonym “Moana Love,” Vaimoana has mastered numerous artistic talents with the theme of making this world a better place. Thank you for sharing your one-woman show of kindness with the human family. It is with great honor that I am happy to announce Vaimoana Litia Makakaufaki Niumeitolu as the recipient of the Warlock Asylum International News 2018 Artist of the Year Award! Congratulations!
