Heralded as the “Lucille Ball of Hip Hop,” Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar aka Cardi B has captured the hearts of millions with her creative genius and blunt charisma. The Bronx-born and raised actress, rapper, singer, and songwriter’s climatic rise as one of the music industry’s top performers is a source of inspiration for thousands of women that has not been seen since rap music’s classic era. Cardi B not only represents the voice of a generation but the trial and error approach to life that many millennials are forced to take after being reared by a class of finger-pointing seniors who refuse to grow old.

Cardi B is often admired for her open-book phraseology and lifestyle. The Venusian princess (Libra) can often be seen on Twitter and Instagram holding the world in her hands while speaking her mind. Although Cardi B’s platform is worldwide she hasn’t forgotten her roots. Back in 2018, Billboard Magzine reported that Cardi B donated $8,000 to the family of the 15-year old murder victim in the Bronx. A few months later, Cardi B gave away free coats and shoes to hundreds living in a housing project in Brooklyn. Early in 2019, CardI B even caught the eye of the Democratic Party in hopes of her being able to give a rebuttal to Trump’s 2019 State of the Union address.
Among her many awards, Cardi B won a Grammy Award, three American Music Awards, three MTV Video Music Awards, nine BET Hip Hop Awards, a Billboard Music Award and received two Guinness World Records. Wikipedia had to create a separate page for the numerous awards and honors the rap diva has received. In 2019 Cardi B is the complete package. It is with great honor that I am happy to announce Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar aka Cardi B as the recipient of the Warlock Asylum International News 2019 Woman of the Year Award. I would like to wish Cardi B all the best in her spiritual and artistic endeavors. Keep shining!
