The Blackbird Sessions by Sugar Lime Blue ( Album Review)

Earlier in September of 2022, I had the blessed opportunity to review Sugar Lime Blue’s new single called Burn It. Today, I will be reviewing the group’s new album called The Blackbird Sessions. Sugar Lime Blue is a compelling Americana group that are often noted for their creative ingenuity and deep commitment to the musical world.

The Blackbird Sessions is set for release on October 1st, 2022. Comprised of band members Ashley Beth (vocals), Dave Beth (guitars), Joe Bass (bass), Ika Pekelo (drums/percussion), and Luis Echevarria (keys), Sugar Lime Blue latest effort is a journey through everyday life where normality turns into a wonderland of spirited melodies and uniquely shaped grooves. Recorded at the legendary Blackbird Studios in Nashville, the group has incorporated elements of varying genres, like blues and even reggae into their musical scheme.

Music lovers are bound to enjoy The Blackbird Sessions. Its vocal premise is multi-dimensional and is greatly enhance by excellent postproduction. This is quality music that is a gold brick amid the legacy of Sugar Lime Blue.
