Eid demonstrated his passion for music early in life. Although he was raised in a strict traditional home that saw time in the arts as something for hobby alone, Eid’s faith in his talents led him to pursue music more seriously. He moved to New York City only to later relocate to Los Angeles where he would later fall under the tutelage of world-renowned guitarist/songwriter David Lamar. Eid began writing sings on a regular basis and perfecting his craft as a songwriter, which eventually led to the release of his debut EP Cardiac Output.
Watch It Fall is a very colorful tune that is a deep portrayal of the challenges, joy, and hard times of everyday life. Eid’s lyrics are brilliantly written from the perspective of someone living in apartment building longer than expected. Watch It Fall touches upon an ordeal we all face in dealing with the outer world and how we compartmentalize the people we see daily. Musically, Watch it Fall is led by some charming acoustic guitar rhythms with an overlay of electric guitar and backing harmonies. Patrick McPherson filmed and directed a wonderful video for the song that works perfectly with its theme. Watch It Fall by Joseph Eid has a story in it for each one of us, mainly because it is our story.
This is really a nice song, with which one can actually identify with a line or two.
