2020 Woman of the Year: Miranda Writes
Based out of the beloved plains of rap music’s first promised land, New York City’s very own “First Lady of Hip Hop” continues to embody her queenship through music, and within this course, Miranda Writes’ journey has empowered both men and women to reach their highest potential. Sophisticated, stunningly attractive, and a merciless vigilante behind the mic, Miranda Writes is one of the few rap artists to use her verbal expertise to bring positive vibes into human society. Warlock Asylum International News first became aware of Miranda’s work as an artist back in 2017 while hosting an interview with her highness titled Interview With The First Lady of Hip Hop Realness – Miranda Writes. Since this time, we have received numerous communications and emails from our readers and subscribers requesting more information about Miranda and her music.
Among her many accomplishments, Miranda Writes made history as being one of the first female emcees to crossover into the snowboard market. Her debut album Know Your Worth (2017) has raised the self-esteem of an entire generation of millennials who are often criticized by seniors for just following the protocol of the times. Miranda has moved performed at venues across the globe, releasing numerous singles, and evolving into a spokesperson of empowerment for this day and age. Most of all, Miranda has preserved and nurtured many of the values that Generation X sought to resolve through rap music. And it is due to her determination that Miranda Writes has become more than a rap artist. Today, she embodies a guiding light, if you will, and a voice of the future. It is with great honor that I am happy to announce Miranda Writes as the recipient of the Warlock Asylum International News 2020 Woman of the Year Award! On behalf of Warlock Asylum International News, I would like to wish Ms. Writes all the best on her artistic and humanitarian endeavors.
